well i own a PS2 and a gamecube and they are both decent machines but they both seem to be lacking in my favourite games department first person shooters, and having played Halo round my friends house, i'm convinced i want an Xbox.

so here goes, i was wondering where is the cheapest place to buy a:
xbox
Halo
and 2 controllers

(and please dont say special reserve, i know their cheap but i want to see if theres more cheaper) also if its a website say whether its reliable or not!

cheers.

'Tis true. I saw it last time I was in my local Game shop (about a week ago). Halo £29.99 or something, with loyalty card.

You want to buy an X-Box? Wow.. you do need help...

Only joking. I heard Dixons, or Comet or some place are giving an X-Box away for £100.00 to the first five customers each day or something, you might want to check that out...

Also, don't overlook the GameCube's excellent pre-christmas first person shooter line up, and some of the PS2's great FPS' (check out Deus Ex).

How about Gamestation?

I know they sell the Xbox brand new for £149.99 and they're games are cheaper too, what with all that 'bonus card' malarky.
I should imagine they do some bundles too

Actually if he has a loyalty card with GAME, I remember seeing that you can get Halo brand new for like £30. I stay away from second hand - I prefer my games new.

Thing is, its hard to name places now and so many do different package deals and stuff. I'd say SR and maybe GAME are your best bets as far as looking for what you want goes.

Dixons sell the xbox £10 cheaper than SR. As for Halo go to Game and get it second hand for £25.
