Everyone at work is too cynical! No one believes in conspiracy theories, flying monkeys or anything interesting. UFO's are so last year and ghosts, woah, don't even mention those. It's just no fun any more. What happened to the late 90's X-file flap that everyone so suddenly got in to.

It was quite funny, I suppose. There was I, just minding my own spooky business, talking about new UFO sightings and strange DNA to no-one in particular, when the X-files started on TV. Yes, it took about half a season for people to change, then Wham! (no, George Michael didn't appear, thank God) Everyone becomes suddenly interested in spooky stuff, even if they didn't have a clue what they were talking about. Well, guess who was in the middle of it all, yep, the guy who read Fortean Times and had studied every piece of UFO video footage going. Then it just exploded, I mean, that alien autopsy video, please!

Well, it seems to have died down now and only UKLiving TV and other 3rd rate channels carry on the weird programming with their 'oh so realistic' haunted house stuff and their sixth sense chat shows. mmmm. Still, guess it makes me feel special again.

The truth is out there still, but does anyone care, nooooooooooooo.

Yeah, I did. In many ways he's quite a courageous guy - in that he's not afraid of being ridiculed.

A friend of mine is an avid Icke believer, that's why I know a bit about his theories.

What I meant was, Buffy is intended to be fictional, whereas Icke intends his theories to be accepted as fact, i.e. he actually believes them.

Did you see that program about him on Channel 4 about six months ago?

So you're saying that Icke's theories are factual?

A lot of what Icke thinks about the global elite is probably spot-on, but I'm not sure about the reptilian agenda though.... the Queen, Prince Charles & George Bush Senior sacrificing and eating children at Balmoral in Satanic rituals.... hmmm.

Before he introduced the reptilian shape-shifting stuff into his writings, he was generally ignored. But now, he sells books by the shed load and his speaking tours are sell-outs all over the world.

His Buffy-like theories have made him very rich....

I find that most paranormal chit-chat at the moment seems to centre around shape-shifting reptilian vampires from the lower 4th dimension.

I blame Buffy and David Icke.

Hey, I still believe in conspiracy theories - I only found out a year ago that the X-Files wasn't a documentary.

On a (un)related note, did anyone see the latest pics of the Loch Ness monster? Nessie Lives!!!

Well, it happened before that really. The millenium was the focus of much strange phenomena, just like the one before it. Once that was over then people tend to get back to the 'real' world. Of course, who's to say that beings from another planet aren't the 'real' world?
