Got this on wednesday. Fantastic game but something is annoying me more than any other game I have played in a long time. That funning race. Tried it many many times yesterday and can't seem to get passed it.

I may suck at the game or I am doing it all wrong. SO how do you do it?
Help me.

Anyone kind enough to send there saved file to me? As I don't want to just give up and think of what might have been an amazing game

I thought the race was quite easy.
My brother tried it for hours & hours and couldn't win, but then I had a go and on my 4th or 5th attempt I came first.

Great game, I especially like the remote farmhouse section. Fantastic use of sound with the rain hitting the various surfaces, and the level has a great stormy atmosphere about it.

From what I've heard from people, Mafia is much more mature than GTA3. Well apart from being a mafia henchman as apposed to being a thug in GTA, there also thing like the fact you don't get any point or money for killing innocent people, so there is no incentive to that, also you can get arrested for speeding by the cops, so you don't feel the need to drive like a maniac a hit anything that moves.

Also the mission structure is far more varied and enjoyable than GTA3's often repetative and sometimes dull missions. I'm very much looking forward to getting Mafia in a week or two, it certainly sounds a million miles away from GTA3's thug like gameplay.

So instead of being "some bloke", you play " some bloke from the mafia"

Calm the winds of change, I can hardly stay on my feet here.

Yep that race is a toughie eh?
I played that section for about 2hrs - just kept restarting and restarting.

Eventually, the way I did it was to go over to the outside at the start, by the time you hit the 1st bend you're in 3rd and just brake before the corners.
Not much help I know but it *is* possible, and I'm not the most patient, even-tempered gamer in the world.

Once you get past the race, it really gets good though.
Fav sections so far?
The Restaurant Shoot-Out
The Garage Shoot-Out
The Paddle-Boat Assasination
