Got this on wednesday. Fantastic game but something is annoying me more than any other game I have played in a long time. That funning race. Tried it many many times yesterday and can't seem to get passed it.

I may suck at the game or I am doing it all wrong. SO how do you do it?
Help me.

Anyone kind enough to send there saved file to me? As I don't want to just give up and think of what might have been an amazing game

Finally got past it, I hated that bit and I'm glad it is over.

Check the hints I posted, one or two of them are about the race. It seems so simple to do, but in practice it's one hard funning level

I spent ages on this aswell. Basically, you just need to get ahead on the first corner, then take all the others really slowly, slowing down to about 30 or 40 mph. The other cars don't overtake you if you son't crash, and as long as you go as fast as possible on the staights, and around the 3rd corner, and remember to slow down before other corners (especially the forst one) you should be okay.

Race mission is now my most hated part of any game.

If anyone has just got passed it and want to send me there save game I would be very grateful.

I am officially the saddest person alive. I have had Mafia longer then most other people, yet I'm still only on the race level. Moving house next week, haven't had very long to play on it :-(

Still can't get the race done, everytime I look as if I could get it one corner will cause be to oversteer and spin out or some punk just smashes into me and we both go spinning out and don't finish.
Its driving me crackers (no pun intended)

Nope, these cops will have you for speeding, running anyone over, small fender-benders etc.
If you're in the car when it happens, lose sight of them and get out the car. They don't recognise you and charge about being angry.

It is a great game, and reasonably priced too.

Well, if it's not a bloodthirsty romp through a city with police that only start to chase you after you've run over a certain number of innocents, I may look into it.
