I only bought it because it was recommended on here, so I'm recommending it back again, so more buy it, because it rules.
"Three years he said that. Good night Wesley, good work, sleep well, I'll most likely kill you in the morning."
So you all have to see it. Pirates, giants, evil kings, true love! And a very funny film, so good. Go buy at a cheap DVD website near you.

I guess none of it is true as he doesn't have any sons and he isn't married to 'helen'. The Man must have a truely fantastic imagination to have come up with an idea for a book like that. Now i know that he wrote it all himself I think it is even more of a masterpiece than I thought it was before.
I hope that he finished the sequel 'buttercup's baby' :)
I know the bits where it goes into italics and he writes stuff like "What follows here are 400 pages of, what I am told, is delicious satire on Florentine courtship rituals. But we'll jump ahead 3 years to just before the marriage" etc are false.
If you've got the anniversary edition, he explains how Stephen King will write Buttercup's Baby and how much he hates him for that.
But that's a lie too.
Superbly written book, wonderful film.

You told me that the guy who wrote (Willliam Goldstein?)the book only pretended that he had abridged from S.Morgenstern. So I re-read the book, finished yesterday. Which bits of the intorductions do you think are true. I love the bit where he is ill in hospital and he gets all the staff reading the book to him as a play. I so want that bit to be true but I bet it isn't.
I will never love again *sob*
maybe I'll try some girly love ;)
Yes I am.
I have decided, since my evil cow ex got Brian Blessed to sign her Flash Gordon DVD (SHE DIDNT EVEN LIKE THAT FILM OR THINK HE WAS THAT COOL!), that women are the source of all woe in the world.
Therefore I shall try man-love.
And I know Grix loves it, so he shall be my 1st port of call
*makes kissy face*
C'mere Weepy, let's hug

Ah, but anyone who's watched the start of the film knows that as you wish is Westley's way of saying "I love you"...
Not coming on to Grix are you?
:-)
Heh
"My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die"
"Stop saying that!"
"Sleep well and dream of large women my friend"
"It is most likely a local fisherman out for a pleasure cruise. At night. In eel infested waters"

One of my favourite films ever, and it stands up to many many repeated viewings.
I managed to get the Region 1 Special Edition a couple of months ago with 2 documentaries, a commentary, home-movie footage shot by Carey Elwes and loads of other stuff.
If you like tales of swordfights, giants, miracles, magic and true love then you need to watch this film.
As you wish.
Andre rules!
I reccomend it for a good larf.
