Yes, that's all very well if you're opposing someone who has invaded your country (the French resistance in WW2 for instance) but not when it's some Irish fool shooting innocent British people (including other Irishmen) and blowing up innocent people. Don't forget the IRA. A lot of Americans see them as freedom fighters, not heartless murderers. When the US declaired war or terrorism after September 11th, many people asked if that included the IRA. They said no

America didn't let Black people vote in 1960, Britain didn't let women vote at one point, or poor people, how far back you wanna take this ? Fair point, thought if it hadn't been for the sacrifice of resistance fighters in Europe Germany would have had the bomb by 1944. In 1941 resistance fighters destroyed ferry carrying heavy water to Germany. It sank, along with it's civilian cargo. For the allies to have taken Japan without surrender would have cost the lives of an estimated 500 000 troops. The Japanese were already using Kamikaze pilots against allied ships and carriers. The point is that was wartime, Japan was ordering the execution of virtually every allied POW there was and refusing to surrender as allied forces pressed on towards Japan. Conventional bomber were levelling the country. In 1941 Japan showed no scruples by attacking Pearl Harbour before declaring war. The A bombs saved lives and ended WW2. We know Saddam won't declare war when he uses his WMD's, there will be no declaration, only death.

Most of those prosecutions are only being brought because they can be. We all know there are people on this world who do illegal things yet cannot be touched or have their crimes 100% proven.

America, and us.... the Cold War forced us into that and we did gain valuable Russian military equipment for testing. Had the Cold War become hot the information would have been worth any price imaginable. AS it was, Russia became embroile in a war it couldn't win and that demoralised it's Army.
I know that we and America aren't perfect, never said they were, but we are no where as bad as Iraq. Once we sort our external problems we can look more closely at ourselves.

The United Nations General Assembly resolution only authorised the removal of Iraqi forces to a certain point inside the Iraqi Border. Coalition forces were not permitted to go any further in pursuit unless being fired upon.
If it had not been for the UN forcing this upon the US/UK then both countries would have gone all the way into Iraq after Saddam's regime.

Nuclear weapons are evil. But they are nessisary. America has a no first strike rule. This means they are not allowed to lauch nuclear weapons first, only in retaliation against a strike against the States and this strike must have used WMD's. This is the reason Sadam has not used his weapons in the past. You see if he launches a Bio-chemical warhead at either the UK or US then one or both of us will lauch a massive uclear retaliation. He may be a power hungry fiend who is very pi**ed off with us for destroying all his tanks (Op Desert Storm: Iraqis -400, Uk -2, US +402 (yes they shot 2 of our tanks the muppets)) but he does not want to see his country ripped to shreads.
And I don't support or like Hussein at all, I believe his presence is a danger and a threat.
But I find offensive the tactics and reasonings of The United States in it's methods of dealing with this situation.
