Ah! Whats this little title on the horizon? Amidst all the XBox--->Halo hype thats been around, and all that fuss for a conversion to Pc (for a game, which in my opinion is decidedly only-just-above-average) another Halo-esque title is soon to be released (around Christmas/Next Spring, supposedly)

Well well. Yet another 3-D anti-alien blaster? Ah, but this looks pretty damn promising. And absoloutley beuatiful. While my Pc gaming has been limited to a certain little purple box recently (and for the next 3/4 months) this has rekindled my excitment.

Anybody else interested?

Still, I will probably need a new graphics card, and thats some time to save some cash.

Can I just point out the release date is 30/06/2003. NOT MARCH! lolz only 3 months difference.

I heard that you need DirectX v9.0 to play it, is this true? My graphics card (amazing) can only support upto 8.1 I think?

Anyway... I have a video of it in its production stages that I obtained last year in PCFormat, looked amazing and still looks amazing. I am getting it if I can, its been a game I have been looking at getting for 6 or so months now.

I'll leave Halo for now then, I might try it when it gets released but from what I here the release date for the game is long off. Breed on the other hand is looking great, I hope to try a demo as soon as they release it just to get an idea of how it'll play.

March has loads of GC games I want too.

Halo is rubbish.

Well not rubbish, just hugely HUGELY over rated.

The AI is average, it looks pretty decent, soudn wise its totaly lacking in atmposphere, the vehicles are cool, but everything feels very lethargic and slow, and as such its dull.

I think.

And most of it is simply running around shooting, which to be honest, has been done better elsewhere.

Indeed, march seems to be the month where allot of great looking games are coming out, but I'll probably still get Breed for sure. It looks a lot better than Halo at the minute, which I personally am going to wait to play before I claim it to be the best ever FPS that so many console gamers already have. I'm just not convinced.

I'll get the demo, for certain....

I've heard a demo for the game is imminent, possibly being released in February before the game comes out in March. I don't know how true that is, but I'll be keeping my eyes open for it.

This game is looking very promising, and certainly shows PC gamers that they can live without Halo. It's made by developers called CDV who have made some pretty decent games in the past, with the Sudden Strike series and are looking to make some even better games in the future with Neocron and this title, breed.

It should be a great multiplayer game, with you given the ability to drive a whole host of vehicles while you get dropped off on enemy islands, I just hope it's more of a team orientated game than most other squad based shooters, i.e. people work together instead of going off alone.

Looks good though, and yet another game I'm looking forward too.
