AMD 3500+ (or perhaps 3700+, depends. Is it worth the extra money?)
ASrock mobo with support for both AGP and PCI-E
6800GT
1GB of 3200 RAM

I'll get good frame rates on the highest settings with this, right?

£117 nabs you an Opteron 146. It uses the San Diego core with 1mb cache (same core as 3700+ and the FXs). Anyways, it's almost guaranteed to do 2.6GHz+ (FX55) on air cooling and probably more. There's no point in getting a 3700+ because getting a 146 to 3700+ speed (2.2GHz) would be laughably easy and save you about £70 in the process.

...not that a wise man would stop at 2.2GHz anyway.
