Turok Evo and TimeSplitters 2 are two games that I am purchasing over the next few weeks. However, which version should I purchase? I have a PS2 and a GC - if the GC version will load quicker, then I might go for that; but I prefer the PS2's controls and analog sticks to the Cube's C stick.

In addition to that, apparently there is a lot of fogging in the PS2 version of Turok - does anyone know if this is the case in the GC version

The thing is i hate d-pads, my main problem with PS1 and 2, i always find myself not responding so quick.

As for the GC pad i think, with the right people working on it, it could become a good pad.

And i find the L and R ok as most games i play dont use the click so you only need to put a little effort for it to respond, i didnt find that the gun wouldnt shoot until i pressed to the click, far from it.

Halo, i found those controls good.

The GC is good, but for some reason they havent found the right layout for shooters.

Which version to get it on? hummmm well i would say the GC as the price doesnt bother me, but if it does and you dont mind loading times go for the PS2 one.

That's a clever response. I might do that.

Well going by that, I'd buy the GameCube version and a controller adaptor that allows you to use Playstation 2 controllers on the Gamecube.

Have to say, it's not a game that interests me, so I won't be getting it on any format.

Roll on Resident Evil...

They're using the extra time to fully optimise the Cubes special lighting effects and whatnot apprently.

And some report said the X-box has better graphics, but the Cube version has a better frame rate.

Yes. And the Xbox version is better, apparently.

Interesting conversation going on between two staff in Game today when I collected Stuntman...

Turok was apparently devloped on the Gamecube, then ported to PS2 and Xbox. Yet both PS2 and Xbox versions are out today, and the GC version isn't available until next week.

Strange, no?

don't get one of those mickey-mouse sandwedges though.
No.
Get yourself one of those carbon fibre jobbies with all the trimmings.
Rubber hand grips that actually warm your hands while you play.
OOOOOH sweet ;)
