I'm pretty sure that I have some virus on my computer that is sending out e-mail without my knowledge. Every once in a while I will receive an e-mail that is basically a notification from a mail server that an e-mail I "sent" has been returned because of the presence of a virus.
Of course I haven't actually sent any such e-mail.
Also I continually get 0.1MB sized e-mails with really lame viruses attached from made-up addresses (free screensaver please try with a *doh* .exe file). That said I did once get an e-mail telling me that a "nasty virus" called autoexec.bat had infected my system, which I thought was rather clever - A non-virus virus.
But back to the point, I think it may be the Klez (sp?) virus, though I'm not sure. If anyone knows what it is or how I can get rid of it then advice would be much appreciated. (whatever it is my on-track virus detecter won't pick it up.)
Thanks
In which case, there's not exactly a lot you can do. Go along to www.norton.com - there's loads of info on virus' and they give you instructions on how to remove them, and how they work - very useful.
