ok right. some people think that the meaning of life is the NUMBER 42 right what the hell is that all about, when you ask a question like that you expect a s.a type answer, but no its just somthing as small and insignificant as a two digit number. I wouldnt mind if it would be somthing like 69 or 666 that would be cool. But no is just 42.

Yeah, it's impossible to write anything about the meaning of life without some *cool and witty* person replying with '42' at some point.
Alternative answers to the meaning of life...hmmm. Hedonism sounds a good one. Or not to actually die, although that way everyone wins until they finally lose, at which point there not around to care. So everyone's a winner. Who says philosohpy can't cure depression? (though mostly it seems to cause it...)
