I have decided that my brick needs upgrading. As it isn't user friendly and is pretty unreliable. It is actually a hunk of junk. Anyway i'm thinking about getting a new phone and so decided to go to my local high street retailers and see what was on offer. Anyway I have £100 budget and I want to be on pay as you go and preferably on O2. (Wap is a strong Preference)

The best 2 i saw on O2 were:

Motorola V50- for £99.99-various retailers

This phone is small and quite likeable but i don't really care to much about its size as long as it isn't a complete brick. It seems a good phone but im leaning towards the other alternative:

Nokia 3330-

Good common phone so should be no problem stealing some ones battery or charger if it runs out an inconvenient time. more user friendly and still fairly small. I think this could be the right choice but there are two options:

Sim free: £99.00 carphone warehouse
T-mobile: £69.00 a couple of places

obviously the lower priced phone is preferred but i'd like to stay with O2. Is it possible to get it unlocked easily or am i better off not being stingey and buying the sim free one.

Anyway I'd appreciate the opinion of someody in the know about phones, or even better alternate suggestions (don't mind going a little over budget!). Info on the phones and your experience would be appreciated. Or just suggestions on what you think i should get.

Thanks.
Ashley

hate to be the bearer of bad news but i am actually posting more but mainly in other forums. And I have the fantasy football to look after! But id say i was posing more. Most of the election posts weren't by me (if you bothered to look) but rather by my fanatical supporters

well I know all and see all when it comes to mobile phones as i'm currently in the process of getting a new one myself. Anyway there are many great phones to choose from but if your not going to get contract that limits your choices. Not only does it mean less phones are available to you price wise but they simply can't be bothered selling pay as you go phones so the selection is smaller. The best place to get mobile phones is on the internet because you cut out the stupid shop retailers constantly trying to get you to buy a better phone than you need and you get a wide selection all on different networks to see. I personally recomend this link to you :-

http://www.thelink.com/store/martlinprd.dll/store/lin_page.( remove)jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@1339658077.( remove)1030992486@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccccadcgdmielmlcefecf( remove)gmdffgdflh.0&low_bound=10&page=( remove)ProductList&prev_results=yes( remove)&Atimestamp=3208445323&number=0

This website has more phones to choose from on more networks than you will ever need and the phone I recomend for you to look at is the SIEMENS O2 PAY AS YOU GO MOBILE for £99.99 it has all the things you need and is a great design. Hope i've been of help :D

you might be eligiable to upgrade your existing mobile for a fre one. I upgraded my 3330 on friday for the new nokia 3510, absolutely free! Just call up your network service provider (vodaphone, O2 etc) and ask them if you can get an upgrade. Save you lots and lots of money.

:)

Oh, and the 3330 is a Good phone, user friendly and quite small.

:D
