My town is just outside Glasgow so it will be hard if not impossible to get in the Residential Halls... which sucks as it means I need to walk to train station... get train... walk to subway station... get subway... then walk to Univercity which is nearly about 2 hours journey.
I'm only going to be 17 and it's quite young to leave house nevermind go to Uni.
At home I get to stay with my family... have home comforts... don't need to stand on my own two feet completely and such
BUT the travel sucks... it'll be harder to socilise as journey back home... harder to get laid etc
MMmmm
It's only Uni I really want to go to as well
What to do
Free room and board
or
Total freedom from parents and brothers
it is tempting booth ways :D
Then you'll get the best of both worlds.
"If I go there will be trouble"
"If I stay it will be double"
"Should I stay or should I go now!"
look. I hate that song. If it's only going to be half as bad if you f**k off, then do so.
stupid song. f**king stupid song.
It will be funny if I meet Sheepy.
I bet he rules as much in real life as he does on here.
;-)
No go in halls force them to take you on. If not you should have gone to St andrews and picked up fit women who joined this year because price william is there!
> I think I might try for halls
Try for halls and if that doesn't work, try for private housing.
I knew a few people who lived at home and commuted to uni everyday when I was at Leeds. You could tell who they were cos they were always the ones who were in early and could concentrate in lectures!
Seriously though, the maths is easy.
Live at home and you only meet people on your course and, if you're lucky, their friends.
Live at uni in halls and you meet people from your halls, loads of people when you go out (every night) and also, the people on your course.
It really is worth the extra debt.
If you can, move to a new city and it is an even bigger adventure......
You won't know anyone at first, but who cares, a change is good for the soul, and you'll soon be getting lashed with the best of em......
17 - young in year and leaving at 6th year
I shall need to got to pub with AfroJoe in the future :D
I've had 4 years at 2 different unis. I couldn't imagine living with my parents whilst at uni. You wouldn't meet half as many people (or have anywhere to take young ladies to if you tap off!) ;-)
