ok so the subject line was just a catchy title.

but really these nintys are having a laugh, there's like a handful of games that are good on the GC and a shed load (a big shed to) on the x box. and the PS2? well the games companys can't be bothered with it anymore so why should i LOL.
well i might get stuntman and tekken 4 but still.

anyway what i hate about these nintys are the games they say are so good really aint. ok so it's a matter of taste and if i was 5 1/2 i'd love a GC but i'm 20 and i want blood and gore.

most GC owners must be about 10 as they argue like kids and get all up tight if you slate mario and everyone knows sonic is better.

if i had my way sega would still have a console and it would be ninty the game developer and i'd have me sega machine next to an x box and live happlying ever after knowing all the nintys would be crying as they haven't got the guts to buy a non nintendo machine muahahahahhahahahaha

ok so this post will probably encourage them but why can't we all be happy gamers?

oh well naff all i can do except laugh at there little faces and there silly little cube, sav had a GC for about a week and he found a use for the handle LOL

Cipro, I have said Operation Flashpoint quite a few times but the response from Ninties who haven't even played the PC version is a joke! I am really looking forward to this game and when Maverick needed some help I gave him a little synopsis on the game, I have mentioned the game quite a few times on here but people don't seem interested and this is why they complain about games that are out/coming out (not mentioning any names but I think they know ;)). AS far as tactical thinking goes there isn't a game that can touch Operation Flashpoint!

You might wanna write that in the Ninty forum while your at it as its easy to lose count of the amount of mongs that make the transition from that forum to this one with similar if not worse comments.

Not saying 2 wrongs make a right, but I can tell you now we put up with a lot more of this crap in here than the Ninty forum has to deal with and 9 times out of 10, at least the ones that are making these comments about the GC are saying it in this forum rather than going into the Ninty forum and mouthing off.

Trust me, people in here would LOVE the chance to talk about games more, unfortunatly there seems to be some fanboy (the majority of them Ninties) policy thats against us doing so in peace without pathetic little comments and topics.

Tut tut tut X-Box gamers! With all this talk of challenging games, you all seemed to have missed one game, which provides gamers with some of the biggest challenges in any game of any format. Operation Flashpoint.

A thinking mans shooter, no gung ho heroics will win mission in this game, you have to work as a team with your A.I. soldiers to get through the levels alive. Plus with the added realism, wide array of vehicles and mission which stand head and shoulders above other, disappointing Tactical squad games like *spits* Ghost Recon, this is a games which gives you difficult, but also fun challenges.

As for this argument, well I don't really like replying to things like the original post, as quite frankly arguments like this I find a pathetic waste of everybody's time. Honestly, is sl@gging off another console more important than playing or talking about games on the machine you own?

Well there are other titles - I can see Blinx being a thinking game for example due to its use of time in the game.
Halo 2 will no doubt use tactics again so its not a simple case of running in all guns blazing and coming out without a scratch like a lot of FPS games.

I did say they're weren't many, the three isn't very many now is it? Besides, Raven Shield, Splinter cell etc are multi-format.

And Edgy, you just copied exactly what I said!

Indeed, GameCube games are funny. That is a good thing. They entertain you and you just admitted it.

Sure, you've got games which require you to use your mind, but that happens on all consoles. If you didn't have to think in any games, then here wouldn't be any challenge.

> also look how boxed in metroid looks,

The only shots so far have been indoor shots. What would you rather? A sci-fi shooter based in Dartmoor? A sci-fic shooter based in the Sahara where you can see for miles and miles?

in halo you have vast open

Oh goody, I can kill the enemy before it becomes a threat!

That's what makes it challenging - if that's the case. Considering I've never played the game and neither have you, slating if for the way it plays is not a fair argument.

No, I mean 'thinking' thinking games. There aren't really many on consoles at all. Of course you have to think about every game, but you never to sit back and really think hard about how your going to do something, and how to pull it off. The only ones I can think of are Rainbow Six types games, It may have been made simpler on consoles but if you wanted to win on the PC version you had to actually spend about half an hour to an hour before the start of each mission planning, choosing equipment, issuing orders, setting routes etc.

Anyone who has played Halo on Legendary will know that thinking plays a big part in how to complete the level! Also on Project Gotham Racing the AI of the cars is superb and they play tactical games with you, they try to spin you off the track, cut you up on corners by using your car as a cushion, avoid these and you will see them spin out of control and crash into other drivers, when using slower cars it required thinking to con the fast cars and the cars were given freedom of the whole track instead of following the same path, this was commented on in GameSpys review and IGN's review, but for those who have played the game will say the same.

Your face makes me laugh so much. HA HA HA Look at your face! Taffer.

Thinking games? Okay now that *is* funny.
Lets see now...umm..running and shooting...driving fast...hack n slash...

Nope, no thinking games. If you had a brain you'd realise that hardly any 'console' games are thinking games. They were always designed to be more of a 'pick up and play' style.

It's called a building you @£%&ing moron, how many buildings have you walked through that had corridors anymore than about 3 metres across? And Personally I think that stalking through a dark corridor, with some steam coming out of pipes, strange noises coming from up ahead, not knowing which way to turn at crossways etc is much more atmospheric than running through a huge field where you can see everything coming 10 minutes before it arrives!*

*I'm not saying this is what its like in Halo, it's just he said huge open landscapes were better.

And you'd know that because you've played it I suppose?
