then about a month ago i bought a game cube cos i really wanted super monkey ball and super smash bros after playing them on my friends cube, the cube seems to have some really great games coming out, like mario sunshine, metroid prime, and the resident evil series, which im gonna get, but as the x box doesnt really seem to have many good games at the moment i was gonna sell it (supposed to sell it to my bro at end of sept) but i really wanna get halo2 when it comes out so now im having second thoughts about selling it.
can anyone help me, and give me sum good reasons to hang onto it? ie new games, or online info etc,
thanks
Really they do, they are good at spotting them. How many times have your Heard "HAlo aint that good" followed by a vague sentence to why that is so.
Most people fail to focus on what Halo does well, and the answer to that is almost everything.
> > pefrect dark
> boring FPS with cack story
Far more varied than Halo ever was,
That is a complete lie.
Halo is so varied at times it untrue. Approch a situation, you can 1-fight alongside marines 2 Go in yourself 3 Use that nice tank 4 Sniper from affar 5 Use that Warthog with your mates 6 The gun turret etc
PD has a set patch through every level. No situation is ever as tacticaly wide open as any other situation in Halo. I'm guessing your time with Halo has been 5 minutes at some crummy Demo Pod with the volume turned down on a scabby 14" telly.
with tons of interaction, loads and loads of action, adn it can only get better.
PD is class, but common, it has been overshadowed in every way by Halo.
It seams some people have a hard time letting go.
> and actualy i did play monkey ball and it is fun for 5 mins then get's
> boring. there's no skill in it the whole game is pure luck.
NO skill?? You have to be out of your mind, the game is ALL skill. And its a dam site harder than most of the other games around at the moment, on all platforms.
Monkey Ball I thought, was a complete wind up - to me, trying to get some annoying screeching monkey over the equivelent of a guitar string wasn't fun. The little mini games were fun for awhile but even that seemed to be more based around luck than judgement.
Resident Evil is a good game series, but its not something I see as worth having a console for alone and that Eternal Darkness game doesn't really appeal to me.
F-Zero is an excellent game and requires more skills to win than Mario Kart does. To me, Mario Kart decides a winner on who gets the strong weapon (i.e the homing red shell) at the end of the race.
Mario Kart is a laugh in 4 player, but give me the likes of Halo anyday. I've had some right laughs during those Halo multiplayers when some funny kills have happened. ;-))
Starfox - a good game, but not the strongest in Nintendo's line up. The news of levels where you could roam around on foot caught my eye, but everything went downhill as soon as I heard the voice of that little dinosaur and once I saw more footage, it didn't really end up grabbing me.
As for Mario. Classic character, but whenever I see him at the moment, all I see is that stupid kiddy advert in the U.S. It stank !
There are games on the GC I'd play, but nothing that really makes me regret getting rid of the GC. Two games on GC that I do like the look of are the 2 Star Wars games - Episode 2 and Bounty Hunter.
and actualy i did play monkey ball and it is fun for 5 mins then get's boring. there's no skill in it the whole game is pure luck.
and perfect dark a halo beater LOL you nintys should get into stand up

You. Are. A. Fool.
Zelda has produced the greatest game ever (OOT), and the cel shading actualy looks incredible.

Not looking this good though (and with 70/80% new areas, and the completely original Resi 0 coming out as well)

For once I agree.

Have you played the original? Evidently not. Its pure fun. Obviously you don't enjoy fun. Ah well.

Tells an amazing story, is violent enough for all you blood freaks, and has amazing sound and lovely visuals, all tied up in a very inventive package.

He says he only has a GameCube but is looking for a Dreamcast, he doesn't even cover his trace! One thing though, Metroid Prime is going to be good, but not the BEST FPS ever! Try playing Half Life and Deus EX on the PC, that is where you will find the best and most original FPS games. Halo took elements from Half Life, Deus EX and Perfect Dark to make a great FPS, not the best I have ever played but definatley in the top 3 and definatley worth getting an Xbox just to play! I will be keeping my eye on Prime though as I am a big FPS fan and so far the previews I have read look promising!
