"Slippy Release Dates-WHY?"

Every console i've ever owned (N64,GAMECUBE,DREAMCAST) Have always had games write! But every game that I have have ever layed my lucky hands on have always had a catch,...Release Dates!and I'm not just talking about a few games(I've got a whole room full of games).Everyn game I've had always looked foward to it before release. But it's(what ever game it may be)has always sliped back from it's original release date!

WHY?

Mayby it's just England(Longer waits yet deadly price's). Or maybe it's just the company's fult by not being able to hit that final deadline and then just latting the game slip and slip and let it just disappear of the face of the earth! DK Racing for gamecube? what ever happend to that!

Yes release dates can be annoying but on n64 with the carts they would have trouble due to it being on a cart (ie they find some minor flaw and have to redesign bits to make sure it works)

as long as the games get released i don't care anyway

I guess someone used too much lubricant and they where forced to slip.

Or they could just wait so long for the game and just buy a different one and then have no money to buy the one they orginally wanted!

Because it builds anticipation. The publishers can build up a frenzy in idiots who don;t have a clue about the intricate and delicate nature of games development, and this forces the developer to get the game finished a little quicker, but at the end of the day, the longer people who want the game are made to wait the more likely they will be to buy the game when it is finally released regardless of how good it is.
