Ok, http://special.reserve.co.uk/ listings/extrainfo.php?co=GG2530 (Spaces)

At full stretch, I have around £40.

I want a small light compact digi cam that can take pictures. I dont want some ultra light camera thats made out of aircraft material. No. I was something that I can whip out and take some snaps with. (Dont be dirty ;oP)

I read the reviews and in the dark it seams not to take good pictures. It has a flash..

So, for £40, can I get anything better?

Is there a camera that just takes pictures? I dont need this webcam stuff.

I want to take pictures. In the light, and in the dark. I need one that won't make them turn out pink either. Just a reasonable camera with decent quality for £40, cant be /that/ hard can it?

Im not gonna do professional stuff neither. Its just to take pictures of my maties. And the stuff we do and intresting cool things. Like weird sky patterns and star formations, cool animals, etc etc etc you get my drift.

Not too hard it is?

I bought that Sipix thing, got it for £30 though, it is a half reasonable camera for the price but as the others say, you'd be better off getting a £150+ camera.

Although, the quality isn't too bad but you need good lighting...etc and it hates sunlight, turns out pink :)
It's not bad just for a mess around though, it's small, takes LOADS! of pictures, takes a while to fill up and can be downloaded straight onto Photoshop.

+ it's a webcam..etc, not really a bad buy but depends on what you want to use it for, don't spend £150+ if you only want to take pictures of your mates or flowers in your back garden :p you'll only need a good one if you want to print stuff off or use it profesionally, the images I get are good enough for the web after a little touch up, better quality than my scanner gives me anyway so i'm happy :)

sorry for the ramble.

I bought one of those "Spy C@ms" from SR ages ago and it was less than impressive. You basically couldn't take photos indoors cos it has some type of light detector.

Anyway, I sold it on eBay and got a Kodak DX3500. It's top quality.

I think they are around £200 at the moment but well worth the price. If you get one check that it includes the quick load stand thing.

Any £40 digital camera is £40 wasted. I made this mistake. I would honestly forget the whole digicam idea until you have at very least £150. Trust me, anything less and you'll regret it.

For £40 you aint gonna get much, to be honest, I'd advise you to save up some more, or buy a normal camera, £40 could get you a reasonable normal camera, but for digi your not gonna get much.
