I assume that when you say 'they', you mean Nintendo. Well, when it comes to home videogame systems, Nintendo have only released one in the last 7 years, being the GameCube. Sure, they've also released the Game Boy Advance and Pokémon Mini handhelds, but I can't see where you're getting the idea that 'they keep bringig out new consoles'.
