Right there was one thing which ANNOYED me about the N64!

BEAT-em-UPS!

I had LOADS of em on the SNES, but I only ever had a few on the N64, and they weren't half as good as the ones on the SNES!

I had to turn to my PS in the N64 days, for my beat-em-up satisfaction! SHAME! But the same things happening with the Gamecube. There's just no beat-em-ups out there! Admittely there's Capcom Vs Snk EO blahblah at the end of the month which I want. But that's like only 1 beat-em-up! I want a solid 3D beat-em-up like, shame to admit it, Dead Or Alive 3 on the X-Box. That game is fantastic! Why can't we have something like that on the Cube!?!

grrr-argh

I actually played Fighters Destiny today, not bad! It seems to include a bit of 'wrestling' in the game with the 'ring' and being able throw them out of the ring!

Just been looking at Godzilla, that looks like another £40 gone, but in a great cause :^)

I'm actually looking forward to that one now.

Occording to some old N64 mag from about a year ago, Tecmo the people who make Dead or Alive have had development kits since a year ago, and were surpose to be bringing out a beat-em-up for the Cube!

Where is it?

I reckon i'll definitley get Soul Calibur 2 - wether it's Link-free or not. I've also heard a few good things about the Mortal Combat game, and so I may also consider that.
I loved the originals I played on the MegaDrive.

Got Smash Brothers, but it ain't like a conventional beat-em-up. Bloody Roar.... well it wasn't an amazing beat-em-up. SC2? Now that's gonna be a decent beat-em-up. But that ones soley weapon based. I wanna decent hand to hand beat-em-up!

I'm not big on beat-em ups, I get bored quickly. But I absolutly *love* SSBM and I'm definatly putting Soul Calibre 2 on my list after the stonking DC original.

I still laugh at the fact that most '3D' beat 'em ups still have practically no movement in the third dimension apart from the occasional sidestep... At least Smash Bros. is unashamedly 2D and not afraid to show it!
