Max Payne to be exact. Not new, but pre-owned, from Game. I traded in 2 old PS2 games and 2 Xbox games, and got a value of £45; so I chose Max Payne and Return to Castle Wolfenstein Special Edition for the PC.
The reason I got Max Payne was that a friend lent me the PS2 version. I didn't bother with the game originally, because I was told it was very short. But I enjoyed playing the PS2 version.
So I picked up the Xbox version, as it is supposedly the 'best' version. Well, it is marginally better, but generally it's pretty identical. But that's not the point.
It is a very enjoyable game, and while I do wish I'd bought it originally (on any format), I'm also glad I didn't, because I got it nice and cheap! :-)
Anyway, the (fairly irrelevant) point of this post is just to let you know that I have actually bought another Xbox game. After all, most of you know what I'm like! :-)
They reckon no-one plays games in the summer, so they bring em out end of summer/Autumn/Winter/Spring time.
Games sell best in the run-up to Christmas and in the New Year.
Start savin for Christmas everyone.
i've been trying to find a truly great game on the xbox since march!

I think all tht will change over the next few months, with some top class releases coming out....

i totally agree with you wookie...the only good games i have found are the launch ones -although more of the seem to have appealed to me than you.

'fraid not. JSRF doesn't interest me, nor does CT3. I won't get RC because I'm waiting for Colin McRae 3.
This has been my problem with Xbox all along, and why I've always maintained that MS screwed up. They launched with a handful of good titles in March, and there's been absolutely nothing since. They lost momentum almost instantly.
Still, at least there should be something before Xmas. There'd better be, or it'll stall completely.

say something s*upid like..."it refused to work -i think the previous owner must have done something dodgy to it" or some other cras excuse.
anyway i'm sure all the preowned stuff has the 10 day guarantee...
you've got nothing to lose by trying (apart from being made a laughing stock in the store if it doesn't work :P)

Aye. I've had some major upheaval in my life, and haven't been around much. Still only here occasionally.
