"kiddy why is nintendo considered a kids game console"

why does nintendo have a kiddy image i dont know why it does do you ? i personly dont think they have a childish game on them how can you consider it kiddy with games such as resident evil and turok . Or is it because the ps2 has what is known as ;mature games; like grand theft auto 3 and smack down 3 but why should they be considered so adult is it because the ps2 is so well known but the ps2 titles which arent really mature get labelled mature because of the ps2 so called coolness and a catchy slogan. Medal of honor for instants isnt really gory but gets talked about as though its a murder game where you go round killing people with rabid bees.Is nintendo thought to be childish due to the lack of racing games,wrestling games,and football games or is it because of pikachu and his pals at first everyone loved them but as time went on they were thought to be lame .I think its because of the bright colors they use in games which everyone loves its nintendo magic but a some of people hate it they love only games whith dark backgrounds which isnt nintendos style because they produce lush backgrounds whith detailed characters i think it isnt a babyish console so any one who does just hasnt played it so makem read this

Just go out and buy the latest issue of cube(issue 9)
They have awhole section on "adult" games. There are 53 listed down the right hand side of the last page in the section

You nonse! These games are most likely Playstation/Playstation 2 bound as well. Yes, EVERY console has it's fair share of "kiddie" games.

The Gamecube gets it's reputation from Mario.
Because Mario doesn't look ultra realistic, with guns blazing, idiots generally tend to think that his games are for five year olds.

Proper gamers know better.

There are many great games coming out for the GC which are for mature players like all the resident evil games, but here are a few list of games which make the console kiddish,

Disneys Magical Mirror,
Mary Kate and Ashley Sweet 16,
Disneys PK,
and a few others to name.

But GC are going to the extreme with Dave Mirra XXX, yes it features girls riding bikes, etc Just read it on cube.ign.com

I was checking the site for future realease to see if the cube was worth buying.

Personally i feel that since they went down the pokemon route on the N64 it got a lot of kids wanting an N64. And lets face facts even though they have some seriously gorey games etc there biggest successes seems to always be the cuter cuddlier games (pikmin etc)

Nintendo don't have childish games, they have family games - for everyone. The top four are Nintendo's un-childish games if you will.
