It seems that the Turk signed from Fenerbache wants to leave Villa Park as he's found-out that playing for Villa isn't quite like what he thought it would be due to the lack of support he recieved after his World Cup injury.
But is that the real reason??? Maybe he has his heart set on silver...
Whatever may be the reason, he wants to leave.
It also seems that £15,000 a week isn't enough for him, and that he wants at least twice that much at his next club!
But Villa aren't prepared to let him go for a penny less than £8m.
Leeds have already eyed him up to replace Rio, but Venables wasn't prepared to pay that much.
Could Man United also do with another centre-back??
And wasn't he linked with Arsenal during the last campaign?

Ok, I misread what you read about Ferguson, so you're not a Man Utd fan. But still, I'm still right about most of the Man Utd fans.
What's with most of you Man Utd fans? A good player surfaces and you think Man Ure will just stroll in, say a few l'il words and go away with a player. Just because someone is a good player, doesn't mean you're gonna sign him. No matter how much tabloid crap is printed!

Meh, the reason he said is complete and total bollards. We didn't treat him well enough when he got injured? Pah. He claims that if Villa offered him enough money to be the highest paid player in England, he still wouldn't sign, that's just complete and total crap.
He reckons he cares about the fans, if the fans meant so much to you, would he leave because of a reason like that. He thought the way we treated him jeopordised his world cup hopes, but I think the way in which we handled it is the main reason why he played so well. We didn't force the recovery, just let it heal at its own pace, unlike a certain David Beckham.
