Personally I love the shotgun in Perfect Dark...difficult to aim properly but when you hit somebody it has some effect...
Infact Perfect Dark has a few really good weapons...
Then there's the sniper rifle in Goldeneye, which is still good fun to use (perhaps because it was one of the first to appear in a videogame)
And some of the weapons from Turok games, especially Turok 2....

The creator simply waited for the gamer to finish their session, then logged into their account and stole whatever rare items he required, then deleted the gamer's character.
Aside from that, the exploding sheep from Worms was probably the most offensive weapon collaterally, whereas the long-range Sniper rifle from MDK on the Playstation (one of the earliest games to make use of zoom lens effect on the PSX) was probably the most deadly in a 1v1 situation.
