X-box and Playstation 2 fanboys may cheer when they read those words. Yes, I, one of the most loyal fans of all to the console and games developers that are Nintendo Co. am saying that the Nintendo GameCube sucks, and this time I mean it! But why?
Is it because of it's lack of a DVD movie player? After all, PCs and Playstation 2s have them as standard, and there's a charge to be able to play DVD movies on the X-box. But that's not why the GameCube sucks. After all, the GameCube is a games machine and my brother has a DVD playing Playstation 2.
Is it because of the way the GameCube looks? Well, cosmetics have a slight effect on why the GameCube sucks, but not to a major degree. It's nothing to do with the shape, handle or even the colour, but it's design still means it sucks.
Could it be the controller? Well I can tell you that it's definately not the controller that is the reason why it sucks. The controller is of brilliant design and is my personal favourite out of all controllers I've ever used since I started playing games in 1983.
Is it anything to do with the hardware not supposedly being as good as the X-box or Playstation 2s? Well, supposedly, the GameCube can match and in some cases beat the X-box and in some cases beats the Playstation 2, but that all depends on the developers and the games that use the hardware. However, despite it's differences with other consoles, that's not the reason why the GameCube sucks, though hardware is a large part of the reason.
Does it have something to do with the games? Well yes and no. It's nothing to do with the quality of games. the majority of games are of decent quality, some of excellent quality and others, like Universal Studios, don't quite make the grade....not even for a Nintendo 64 title - though there are cases like this on all three consoles out at the moment. Anyway, if the GameCube didn't have a game inside it, it wouldn't suck.
Is it anything to do with the lack of hard-disk-drive or modem at this precise moment in time? To be quite honest, that has nothing to do with the reason it sucks. Sure, if the GameCube had these extras, a few more people may be happier but it has nothing to do with why the GameCube sucks.
Infact, all the consoles suck whether they be X-box, Playstation 2 or even PC! Every games device, except handhelds, suck! The X-box with it's supposed-superior hardware, the Playstation 2 with it's large library of games, the PC with it's huge amount of possibilities and the GameCube with it's brilliant games, all suck! Handhelds are exceptional.
Why is this? Well they need to suck in air to cool the processors ;)
Bit of an anticlimax wasn't it? ;)

Yep, I meant to say 1988, I had my age (3) in my mind as I was typing and instead of typing the '8' I typed the '3'. I hate when I think something different to what I'm typing...

There we are then :) The Dreamcast has sadly faded away, yet it's the most powerful games console that doesn't suck at all :)
Very clever though. :P

I still like that fact.
*yawn*
We all knew that.
But did you know that the right hand side blows? :-D
PS. Edgy you swine! I've had this idea for ages, only you sort of beat me to putting it in a post. Still, you made a better post out of it than I would've done... :-)
