So apart from spending the weekend in Goatboy pursuits, I decide to be all suave and stuff by buying my ladyfriend a copy of Gladiator.

Can you believe she has never seen that? So into Woolworths I go (give me a break, Balham doesn't have anywhere else), to purchase the adventures of Maximus Hardblokius.

Except they don't stock Gladiator.
Meh, rubbish. I can buy 2lbs of sherbert flying saucers but no movie about Romans?
So, not to be deterrred, I get her Lord of The Rings (never seen that either) and what do I spy?
The Indiana Jones trilogy boxset.
For £12.99

Yup, all 3 movies for £12.99.
So I bought that as well.
I'd forgotten how cool those movies were, haven't seen them for years - literally. And with the forthcoming "Indiana Jones & The standy-up-bath" or whatever it's going to be called, I decided to reaquaint meself with the first 3.

So get yo punk-ass down to Woolies and buy the boxset for £12.99, or you are a silly person with no more right to watch movies than my mum.

The one good thing about the british general public, that being the daily mail/sun-reading/mcdonalds-working British public, is that they have crap taste in films. The upshot of this is that while cheesy action movies that sell by the truckload will always be expensive, decent films, or old films (or both) will find their way into sales for stupidly low prices.

Yay Brits.

I told you, Sheepster, get a National Lottery grant. Say you're a struggling ethnic majority or something. Bet it works.

Already done. Surprised that offer is still on. I bought it about a month ago. Last Crusade is best of series, and even has River Phoenix in it. He was probably on drugs, but he got to wear Indy's hat.

And everyone should watch Lord of the Rings. Complicated my arsse.
