Can you believe she has never seen that? So into Woolworths I go (give me a break, Balham doesn't have anywhere else), to purchase the adventures of Maximus Hardblokius.
Except they don't stock Gladiator.
Meh, rubbish. I can buy 2lbs of sherbert flying saucers but no movie about Romans?
So, not to be deterrred, I get her Lord of The Rings (never seen that either) and what do I spy?
The Indiana Jones trilogy boxset.
For £12.99
Yup, all 3 movies for £12.99.
So I bought that as well.
I'd forgotten how cool those movies were, haven't seen them for years - literally. And with the forthcoming "Indiana Jones & The standy-up-bath" or whatever it's going to be called, I decided to reaquaint meself with the first 3.
So get yo punk-ass down to Woolies and buy the boxset for £12.99, or you are a silly person with no more right to watch movies than my mum.
Who didn't want to watch Lord of The Rings because "it's complicated"
Sallah from Raiders plays Gimli the Dwarf.
I dunno. Either way, I didn't enjoy Lord of the Rings that much, which is not what the argument is about. Reason? 2D characters. They seem that way to me, anyway.
Sure, I'll watch all the films, but just just seem so damn flat.
"I have to destroy a ring I'm small and insignificant but obviously important I'm very scared that'll do."
"I am tempted to take the ring because you know someone has to be. Oh look at that I died. That's going to make the writing a bit easier now."
"I'm an elf. I can shoot arrows and sneer at you all. I don't like card games and I will never cough when I'm trying to sneak up on someone."
"I'm a dwarf. I've got a deep voice."
*Puts Raiders of the Lost Ark on*
Fantastic.
oo FYI
The Indiana Jones trilogy is gonna be released on DVD next year for the 20th Anniversary.
Woo hoo!
Oh and I don't intend on watching that stinky beardy toss, any film that has Ring in the title and is about a load of short people running around stroking beards looking for someones ring is not for me.

I don't care. You're wrong. Anyone who doesn't watch it is wrong.
They really are great movies, the kind of thing you can watch any time.
> And everyone should watch Lord of the Rings.
Disagree. Haven't watched it yet and probably won't. I've got more important things to do with three hours of my life than watch something about wizards and whatever. Oh, and Elijah Wood(sp) is one of the wierdest looking freaks I have ever seen. He has such a punchable face.....:-)
