Only good thing that came out of our little adventure was that I got to see Jo, as although we're pretty good friends, we hardly ever see each other "in the flesh", instead we chat on MSN etc. Ah well.
Stupid colleges, wasting my precious time. Could've been in bed till 5pm today, not wandering around in the rain
Another thing which turns my stomach in disgust about it:
I had a friend back in 6th form who was outright certain to pass her exams with flying colours, oriental girl, worked hard at everything and knew her stuff. She did physics, fine art, photography and a number of maths derivatives and we're talking staight A's for all her coursework and mocks ever since she started. Comes to the exams, and she gets nothing higher than a D in every subject... that was the highest she got. I found that particularly offensive, how dare some puffed up tosspot who hasn't seen her consistantly high quality work, nor observed her performance throughout her time in 6th form just write off her whole life without a care - that severely put a stopper in her Uni plans as she didn't have the entry requirements for any of her choices and it narks me all the more that they'll give me B's and C's for slacking and mark her lower for studying hard.
*Spits*
Real shambles it is.

Nads. :P
I did nothing but waste my time in school, 6th form, and college, didn't fail a single exam... never revised either. Big waste of time and effort.
My philosophy on it was always simple... you've sat the classes, and "learned" the topics, so at the end of it all you either know it or you don't. Panic revision (lets face it - thats all revision is, I got entirely bored of listening to everyone have a panic and insisting they needed to do more revision) and "cramming" serve no purpose but to get you worked up, and harrass you to the point of actually forgetting all the stuff you DO know when it comes to the exam, I always found that by coasting through everything indifferent I got better grades than that of the people who swatted day in and day out.
Education system now is a load of boIIocks anyway... "Lets scrap all the courses that are worth anything and force everyone to do watered down junk instead! Yay! What a fantastic idea!". You want to pass your exams? Easy, just don't panic.
Thing is I want to do my second year of Media Studies A level but it clashes with my other course.

How dare you do a Trotsky on me. See, I know my Communist deaths. I'd kill you with a blunt instrument i.e. assassin and stuff you and put your dead body in a square and foolish gimps would come visit it, and I'd lock 'em in and feed them cats.
I'd be corrupted in a week... lots of money and topless woman etc
Then I'd kill Styrke with an ice pick and exslave the nation in building a massive statue of me.
MWAH HA HA HA
Sheepy: Uni education for everyone!
Stryke: But only for families with an income of over 60k and an IQ of over 130!
Sheepy: OK, school education for everyone!
Stryke: But not immigrants!
I'd love it.
Put Stryke and SHEEPY in charge, and things will be alright (a nice mix of dictatorship and communism ought to do the job)
I read in Private Eye this week that English exams results are heading for trouble... hope it doesn't worry you :p
For example a woman who came off marking list received 300 papers, she phonned for two weeks to tell them she was off list, a week before deadline they were picked up... but it would take 3 weeks to mark them and they have admitted that some pupils course reults will be used for grades.
Which is an absolute disgrace and pissses me off something awful
:)
