Ok, some of you thought the idea of monkeys being in balls was very funny. Although I agree, seeing monkeys in real life is much MUCH funnier!
Over the weekend, as some of you may know, I stayed in the city of Birmingham where I was supposedly on holiday. On the one day, I went to Drayton Manor theme park and saw one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life!
First of all, I came across a large cage with seven or eight monkeys fighting, playing and picking fleas off each other. After one peed on another, one looked like it was gonna pick fleas of another's tail...next minute, up went the tail, and for around 10 seconds they were 'wrestling' as one kid shouted out.
Next I walked to the 'small mammels' enclosure which for some reason only had small monkeys in it...and when I say small...I mean tiny! Sure, they were a little too big to sit in a large person's hand, but they were still small!
Anyways, they seemed to like the attention. First of all, two of them started playing and fighting like Monkeys do when there's human eyes on them. Next minute, one of them is on it's back with it's legs wide open and the other one has grabbed between it's legs. Then the monkey with a full hand started sniffing the first monkey's genitals then kept looking up at me. They did this for ages! It was so funny!
So instead of Monkeys in balls, go and see the real things! They're so funny!
Just one more thing - around the Chimpanzee enclosure there were signs saying 'watch out for flying things' because the chimps like to throw things at the public. Very clever animals :)
