I've not bought any DVD's for a while, and suddenly realised (about half an hour ago) that I badly needed to get my collection up to scratch...

However, I've killed off all my DVD links (I can remember play.com, but thats about it)...

I was hoping I could get some advice from people here... wheres the best/cheapest place for DVDs on the net?

I'm not sure how welcome this is in SR, but I figure, since its about R1 DVD's it may scrape by? :)

I've used Dvdboxoffice.com, play.com, and Cd-wow.com

All seem pretty good. Cd-wow seems to be the quickest for delivery even though they ship from Hong-kong...

Dvdboxoffice.com can sometimes take several weeks for delivery :S while Play.com is rather varied.

Good man, I use it too. I got Battle Royale for £11.99 instead of £19.99 {:)

Use www.dvdpricecheck.co.uk to find the cheapest. It lets you search by Region.

I usually buy my R1 DVDs from dvdsoon.com.

I worried about that.

But then I realised that an angry dwarf with an axe negates any poncy Elvish gayness.
I mean, that fairy runs along the top of snow without sinking in

"Ma Elfy tootsies get cold easy. I use Timotei for poofs, like ma bow?"

Meh

Doesn't owning LOTR compromise your position as the imperial anti-pixie?

As long as you promise to buy 2 Region DVDs from us for every Region 1 disc you buy elsewhere, then it's fine. Otherwise, scram.
