I've heard and read loads of great things about this game from the official site regarding things like being able to watch matches and other stuff....
I haven't played the current one in ages - it runs way to slow on my PC - and it's only 4 years old. :(
I would get on the X-Box, but for some reason my sister wants one of those things, and I see no point in spending £200 on my own one!
I also doubt i'll be getting a new PC anytime soon. :(

I take it you've never played the games then?
1) none of the games has been a simple name update, each iteration has given new features.
2) you CAN update the player database with official statistics, or custom ones. You can also make your own.
3) the new game features a new game engine, so it's not just features, it's a complete re-working. As was CM 3, and CM2 before it.

2) you CAN update the player database with official statistics, or custom ones. You can also make your own.
