Im guessing that Japanese Warriors learn to rid themselves of fear and rely more or technical skill so that rash desicisions do not restrict them to perform fluidly and accurately during a battle
With this in mind Im guessing that controling their emotions is probably high on the local training centre's 'To Do' list.

You have a FEAR of coming last, you have a FEAR of looking foolish, you even used the word 'scared' before saying all that now if any other word can directly be related with fear then please let me know, you fool.
'I perform for what I have to gain'
Therefore you are AFRAID of not gaining what you need, its all related, if you want something bad enough then you become afraid of not getting it.
If you can think "I want that" without fear of not receiving it then well done, you truly have mastered human emotion and have a very impressive mind that can be admired by all, if your lying however, your a prat.

And when did I ever say that fear was the only way your body can release adrenaline?! It is simply the one that is related with the subject, I do hope that none of your mates gets kissed or decides to have sex during an exam else they will definitely fail!

Very true but controlling your emotions is near enough impossible as they are what make you human, they make you react to situations how a human should, they force you to make decisions...If you have mastered this then well done, but I doubt that very much.

....Compared to the average English student like yourself that (As your making it sound) goes through lengthy home training to rid themselves of all fear during an Exam, only the self absorbed claim to not be afraid to look big, even if you know the answers you still have fear, something can and sometimes goes wrong, and you know it. I would gain a slight degree of pleasure (An emotion if you've managed to forget what that is) from watching a boaster fail. The skill you poses is to not show emotion, but not to rid your body of feeling them.

Your worst comment to date I think, pre-historic barbarian now am I, what about everyone else that follows their heart, ever looked at a girl and wanted her for what she was, I'm not talking hormones here, I'm talking love, passion, you want her because you are attracted to her, attraction, need me to tell you what that is...

And from the attitude of your post I can conclude that I seriously don't like you and you claim to have a skill that I have a serious problem in believing that you poses.
Your a prat, the kind of prat I seriously dislike and the kind I look at and try to work out what they get from making people feel bad, I bet your top of your class and I bet you look down at people, you cant help it, that's just how you are.
Pure Maths is a completly different story...

well i think you passed statistics! lol
Ye right...
Maths, Computing and Business Studies I did...
As long as i Passed all of them i'm happy.
I'm 90% sure i passed Maths. 100% sure i passed Business Studies. And about 69% sure I passed Computing.
I wont start worrying until the night before i get my results...No point worrying about it now...

If you want to use fear as a motivator then fine. I however, do not. I don't need fear to perform. I'm scared of mal-performance, or finishing last or looking foolish. I perform on my own criteria, be that competitive instinct, cynical desire to be superior, or for some more genuine goal. I perform for what I have to gain, where you perform for what you're afraid of losing, or not gaining.
Besides which, if you think fear is the only way to encourage adrenaline, you are massively under-educated. Ever been kissed? Ever had sex? Ever wanted revenge? Ever fallen over and hurt yourself? Ever been made to look stupid in public? Any of these situations can produce adrenalin, none of them necessarily have anything to do with fear.
If you can control your emotions, you can control a lot more besides.
> And what you said about a trained mind being able to release adrenalin

Oh dear, try not to make comments like this please, you only make yourself look incredibly stupid. A japanese warrior would study what? Martial arts? Swordplay? Certainly some degree of mental conditioning as befits a warrior. But emotional control and supression? Very little.
Besides, is mental conditioning limited to Japanese people you racist bigot? I think not. I'll leave you to go on with your life ruled by your emotions like a pre-historic barbarian now.

From the attitude of you post, I would guess I'm older than you. Mentally at least.

I was thinking of trying for Oxford, but my school sucks and they said I need to be more academic. Which I really didn't understand because I only got one B at GCSE (if that's not academic I don't know what is). They also asked some teacher whether I was Oxford/Cambridge material, who has never taught me. He said I wasn't.
In the end I thought screw it.
Can't wait to leave my school. Hate it.
Only a few more months (not even a year).
Still i REALLY am getting nervous about these exam results. I so badly need an A in Mathematics but I can't see it happening.....
I've was predicted mainly C's for my 3 AS subjects a while back, hopefully i've done better in some of those then! :D
