READ the writing. It EXPLAINS how this game will show MGS how its done.
Trust me, read it.

When the game arives and trurns out to be the shiz, I will point and say "told ya so".

Feel free to disagree, just remember that you WILL BE WRONG. :P

I have nothing against MGS, far from it actually. I completed MGS 4 times for the PS1 and have played it countless times on my friends PS2. I will proably get Substance aswell.

Its just I firmly believe that Splinter cell is going to be *the next big thing* so to speak. Generally I am shocked at how uninterested and unenthuseastic alot of seam to be about this game.

Damn those shots look good...

But what's with all the hatred of Metal Gear Solid? It's an excellent game! Probably the best to date! What do you have against it?

It's a Tom Clancy game, which means you'll have to be stealthy most of the time. Boring, I like futuristic action games which give you the chance to blow the s**t out of armies of bad guys, not sneak up behind guards and stick a knife in their back.

If I want it so bad, I'll just get it for my PS2 or PC, but there are much better looking and sounding games I find far more appealing at the moment.

Nice graphics, not my kinda game anyway I doubt.

It's multi format anyway so lick the balls.

Nah, by far the coolest part is the "forced cooperation". You stick a gun to a guy's head and use him as a human shield or get him to open doors and stuff for you.

What's so great about the plot of MGS2 anyway?

In my view I think you are living in the past and refusing to accept that your beloved MSG isn't going to be the daddy anymore. :P

True, it may not have a complex plot or deep characters but I firmly believe it WILL be a better stealth game.

You. can. do. Van. Damme. splits. between. walls.

Cooler than mr frosty.

Just read the article...

Sounds impressive, but in my opinon it's going over the top in gameplay as well as lighting effects. MGS2 was...well, not simple, but it was easy to master and fun to use. Not ultra-realistic.

I just have this feeling it will be more frustrating than fun.

And then of course, there's the plot. :D

It probably will be a great game, and as you know I'm very sensitive about MGS, but...

It still won't be as good. {:)

Pah, if it has the characters, music, plot or emotion which made MGS1 so special then I'll eat this floppy disk in front of me.

It has a tiny chance against MGS2, but MGS1 is the all-time best stealth action and it will not be beaten.
