The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) have pressed for legal actions against Nintendo for the extreme cruelty that the company promotes in it's video game "Pokemon". In the game, players are instructed to capture animals and imprisson them within balls that are well short of internationally agreed animal rights standards. The game then allows the player to train these creatures to fight, and then force them to do so with each other- an act that the WWF likens to the bull-baiting and c***-fighting. Even more barbaricly, the game even encourages players to capture the most rare animals, rewarding them with extra points for doing so.

A spokesman for the WWF said:
"This game is horrific. It is clearly teaching children that pouching and baiting animals is not only acceptable, but required of them. What makes it all the more disgusting is that the game is created by Nintendo- a company who target all their goods at children by packaging them in brightly coloured purple boxes."

In response to the allegations, Mr. Miyamoto, designer of the Pokemon game, issued this statement:
"Nintendo Corporation upholds the strictest standards in its games. Rather than simply creating an animal slaughter simulation, we aim to educate children about which animals are worth pouching and what training methods are the best. Only by doing this can the children of today become the educated smugglers and pouchers of tomorrow- without which the American economy would collapse."

When the President of America, George "Dubya" Bush, was questioned about Mr. Miyamoto's comments, he gave the following reply:
"Animals are like Saddan Hussein. Yawl know that my pops had to take on Saddam a few years ago, and if I can say one thing about it, it'd be this: Saddam is an evil evil evil man. We should treat him like a pokemon and keep him in a small cage, and then force fight him against Osama Bin Laden. The messages of Pokemon cannot be forgotten- they are that, errrr..."

Following this announcement, it appears that a global conspiracy may be at work
