Last two times, for i8 and i12, Reaper has posted about it and you've all ignored him. So, I thought I'd let him have a rest this time, and leave it to me to post about it and get it ignored. So, here it is.

i12 is basically a gaming event in which 600 people go along, sit on their computers for 3 days and play massive LAN gaming, without hassle of severe lag. This is games site, which means some people play games, so there must be some of you interested in coming? Surely? Just pop along to www.multiplay.co.uk and sign up. It's a tad bit pricy at £70 for the whole 3 days, but just think, you'll probably end up meeting me, and that'll make it all worth while. Erm, yeah.

Probably won't see any Planetarion there though.

*remembers the incident last time round involving porn and ambulance crews*

CS. Duh =P

Nah, quoting in order of their appearance on the games central tourney page:

Counter-Strike
Team Fortress Classic
Quake III & Mods
Return to Castle Wolfenstein
Q3A ProBall 4v4
Unreal Tournament & Unreal Tournament 2003
Blizzard RTS Games
Westwood RTS Games
Day of Defeat
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault
Jedi Knight II

Let me see, what's not there.... =P

As ever, games which aren't listed still get played, always guarenteed to find some people play Armagedtron and Codename Eagle, as well as Bridge builder and whatever other free titles are on the ftp..

Rob, you don't drink, so don't pretend to be smug at the beer. And secondly, you really do take sad to new levels :)

I don't know why you aren't all salivating at the chance. LAN games with single figure pings kick butt anyway, especially when you can shout or throw things at the person who's just headdied you with an AWP from the other side of the map. Sniping barstewards. Plus, there's so much more to i12 than just the games - everyone seems to have a great sense of humour. Mix fake gun, powerful PCs with video editing software, 600 geeks and enough b33r to flood Nambia and you've got a combination too good to miss!

Heh..sigh. Cheers for doing this one, least it got replies without 3 pops..

It's actually 4 days (£17/day, which isnt really bad..), and is a great chance for people to meet who may have played together online. People go for different reasons, it's always a laugh (see videos from previous events), but I'm getting fairly fed up of defending it..

Yes. There are girls there. You take your own food, or orders pizzas or whatever to your seat. Sleep wherever you crash - take a tent or fall asleep on the keyboard. It's fun. Trust me.

People don't go just to play games for 4 days, tends to end up with people playing with their clans in tourneys and possibly some friendlies, then buggering off to get drunk with the rest. It's not taken particularly seriously by anyone attending, 'cept the very top clans - as an example, our clan and another was tied at a previous event, so the winning clan was decided with a drinking contest...We won, then our best players were all to drunk to play the next round :D

I just go and know I'll have a good time, there's a good network set up for very low ping gaming when I want, but equally, theres the opportunity to wander around and stumble across drunken mobs of staff tryign to play dance dance revolution..
