As an 'older gamer' (a stately 31 years of age) I sometimes feel that I am in a bit of a minority amongst all you young things. Does age make a difference when you are a gamer?

How old are you, and how does growing older make a difference when you're playing computer games?

You're never too old to play games.
You're never too young to die.

I do some gardening, or make things in my shed.
And then have a nice bit of fish and a sleep in the afternoon

27 years young (I hate that saying).

Co-incidently I posted a nostalgic look at my gaming past yesterday, ah the good old days....

Flanders is right, watch TV (no thanks) or stimulate yourself (he he), there isn't much competition? I don't know why people get the idea that playing "those silly computer games" is a waste of time. What does everyone else do? Sit around looking at the goggle box, wasting time. Dolts!

Meh - I knew the other old crumblies would soon join in ! Muuuuuuuh.

Not quite though Goaty - I have to say that when I have gone for the retro stuff on emulators - I have seen just how crap the old speccie games reaaly look nowadays.

But yes it is a pain when my 8 year old daughter actually manages to win the odd game of Tekken. Gone are the days when I used to be gentle and let her win some......

There are plenty of us 30 somethings here as well so don't worry.

I'm a few years older than you and I have been playing games since Pong. My brothers - in - law also play games and we have some good old multiplayer sessions.

Gaming is becoming more and more a part of every day life and as the original gamers age so does gaming in general.

Half an hour on Pro Evo beats half an hour in front of Coronation Street anyday !

You're never to old to play - play to stay young.
