"SHOULD I GIVE UP MY NOTABILITY?"

One of the whole points of having notables is that you recognise a small group of people who make the forums worth visiting. Indeed, it there was a larger number of notables then there would be no point in having them. More importantly, notables are (supposidly) respected, members of the room who post good topics...

Now, as most of you know, I've landed myself a gap year job working down South for 9 months. Not only will I not have much time to post (stupidly, we're paid in advance, allowing us to drink on the company before we start!), but I won't even have a computer initially. Even when I do, I'll be sharing the line with other gap year students, so won't be online much (and I doubt we'll get broadband). All this adds up to me not posting very often (perhaps a few times a month every so often)...

After that, I have my heart set on going around the world during that summer and doing loads in interesting stuff. It won't be until the end of summer when I go to Uni that I'll have a net connection and a laptop to post with...

So, should I stand down as a notbale? Personally I think I should, but seeing as it's you people who (mostly!) voted for me (points at people who didn't vote for me!) I thought I should put it to your opinions. Remember that even when I go to uni I won't have so much time for posting... as well as academics, there'll be drinking and a few other projects that I'm working on (details to follow next year!). Either way, I'll hardly be a notable member of the forums any more...

Exactly. It's just because he was there when Grix remembers the forums being smaller and FantasyMeister wrote about Star Wars, so obviously Sniper is above normal posters and must be treated like royalty.

I prefer Shaneo. Really.

He's also a good actor, but enough of that. Look, I can see people for who they are, there's nobody I don't like, it's not because he's been around, it's not because he's an oldie or whatever, it's because he makes me laugh. He's an absolute idiot, yeah, but he still makes me laugh.

Time-Warp, I'm going to Winchester/Southampton. I already know I won't be posting much for at least a year... and at uni I won't post anywhere near enough to be a notable. Even so, after uni (5 years or so) I might come back for a year then run again for notableship

Edgy, why the hell aren't you anotbale yet?! This time last year I remember chatting to you on msn and asking if the notables got anything of interest, for you to reply (to my shock) that you weren't a notbale. Why not?! Is there no justice?

When I used to be on the forums, Sniper was funny, posted regularly and seemed to have a Bender from Futurama style attitude. Haven't seen him at all since those days.

To Grix, it is cool being a notable, cos you get to make fun of yourself for having a swamp yellow/green name. Rasta does it and he is the happiest guy I know. (:)

Yeah, these forums mean quite a bit to me. Nothing wrong with that. If they meant nothing to you, you wouldn't be defending him.

Just realise something for me. Can you do it? I don't like Sniper.
