Yep that much loved game from the Dreamcast has come over to our PC's and is sure to be a hit.
I didn't own the Dreamcast version for one main reason. I knew that the chat feature wouldn't be that good and it wouldn't be as easy to get online. That's two :-)
But, now I'm happy. The other day I downloaded the PSO demo which has just been released onto a few sites for PC owners. Excellent.

The demo features the offline and online modes allowing you to test out all chat functions, character creation and see the first level which is the Forest. Bad thing is that there is a time limit though it's not too short.
I'm loving this game, getting the actual game when it hits for sure. The first level which is shown in the demo won't be as good as the full thing, you start on a lower level etc etc.
If you like RPG's or don't like them (I didn't) check this out, if only the demo. An excellent team game and a great online world.

It seems like the demo in UK officially only came out quite recently, although its been out to download of the net for ages...
Went into Video Games Exchange in London (CEX) trying to get it on USA import. They didnt know anything :( let alone a UK release date.
I was talking to sum guys in PSO, mainly Book and Ryu20 about it, and its supposed to b out in north america already... hmmm... seems no ones really sure about anything. ¬_¬
Anyway.. Im on there all the time now (disconnected > Log str8 back on!) lol. as PixelPunk... Best think about PSO... I have a red mohawk in real, so my character actually looks like me! ROCKIN!
Anyone got any news? Or maybe form a demo clan till the full ones out?

I finally got a chance to play with some people online today on the demo, after spending a while farting about in that space station thing. It's actually quite fun , more fun than I expected, though the controls take a bit getting used to. I might consider getting the game when it is finally released, though there are other games out at the moment which I want more.

Ah, well without online support it's nothing. That single player mode gets so tedious figting all by yourself.

Don't get me wrong... I'm not challenging your knowledge on Phantasy Star On-Lines release date, because I really hav'nt got a clue :)

I just had a go of the demo, and I like it. The single player bit gets a bit repetative, and I didn't stay too long on the online section as everybody seemed to be talking japanease, but final full release should be great.
It's one I'll keep my eye on, though as I said before, there are a couple of other, more extensive oline games of this calibre I would like to try out first.

Just installed the demo, It's been a game I was interested in since I first saw it for the dreamcast, but I had no intension of buying that console to play it, so my intrest has since faded. I'll give it a try now and see what I think, though the game will have some strong competition from the likes of neocron ans star wars: glaxies.
