It is kinda ironic, but I think it is still valid/fun. It shows a sympathy towards utopian politics and, while bought in the traditional capitalist fashion), at least shows some kind of unease with the corporate culture dominating the Western World. Anyway, nearly all teenage and youth culture rebellion is manufactured and packaged by big business these days, so what's the difference?
Also, the sheer irony of it alone must make it cool in some people's eyes!
