Ok, the point of this is to say something bad about bill gates, as long as you dont break the rules of SR by swearing or any very bad stuff. I'll start.
IF I SEE BILL GATES IM GONNA STICK ME BOOT IN HIS RECTUM BEFORE SLASHING HIS NECK.

This thread is living proof that success is nothing to do with popularity.

Gates will only become the dominant force in the console world, if his/their popularity makes big increases.
On the ACTUAL point of this thread, do I detect a hint of jealousy? Bill Gates is the richest man in the world, and we probably wouldn't have so much technology today if it wasn't for him and Microsoft. My PC runs on his software, which I am very happy about. I don't hate Bill Gates, I look up to him.
At least there have been some sensible replies.
Computing would not be where it is today without Microsoft and wether you agree or disagree with some of their business practices you cannot dispute that they have been darn succesful.
Bill Gates heads up the most succesful business of recent times and good luck to him.

don't be so naive. In 10 years time, the latest consoles will come with Windows 2012 as standard. By pushing into one market which can quite easilly be linked with one he already monopolises, he's secured the future of Microsoft by ensuring that they have their fingers in several pies.
Wake up and realise that Bill Gates is as succesful as he is because he is a remarkably astute business man.

As opposed to Sony and Nintendo who hate the idea of making a profit from console gaming?
