I know there's been a topic on this before but could you please tell me if i will recieve my resident evil game before 13th september, {i've ordered it now and the point of buying a import game would of went out the window} I'm a little worried as they are extremly cheap £28 for resi infact and i have never used them before!!! Also when does the freeloader arrive? the official site says early august but this seems to be changing all the time, also will my memory card work with a American game??

Mine says
"Television Standard = Pal -1
Video Tape Standard = VHS
Video Tape Playback = PAL and NTSC
Television Sound System FM 6 MHz inter-carrier
blah blah blah"

Will it work??

check in your TV manual. Most manuals (especially Sonys) have a stats page at the back. Here's what the manual of my Sony WEGA KV21LS30 says:

Colour System : PAL, SECAM, NTSC 3.58, 4.43

The NTSC system I would go for is the 3.58, as that's the 'pure' NTSC signal; 4.43 is kind of NTSC-cum-PAL, so it lacks the authenticity and quality.

Basically is sounds to me like FreeLoader tricks PAL GameCubes into outputting an NTSC signal, and vice versa. All will be revealed on August 5th, I hope.

Oh, and if you want to play Metroid Prime at the end of November then your best bet would be to get it on import, since it's slated for a 2003 release over here.

Screw that.

Didn't realise Eternal Darkness wasn't coming out here until November either.

I'm definately gonna get the freeloader, without a doubt! I can't wait to start importing games from America, it will be sooo sweet! I hope my TV in my room is NTSC compatable, but if it isn't, the one's downstairs should be!

:D

I was going to get a FreeLoader for my Cube, but none of the sites said, that an additional memory card was needed, (doesn't matter i'll get one as a free gift from SR) One question though; how do you know if your TV is NTSC compatible, on one site I saw it said that your TV needed to be. Oooh this is all so confusing.

I was gonna get Eternal Darkness first... any other ideas??

my mum didnt get any additional credit card costs,

i ordered my wavebird last wednesday and it aint been dispatched, but my birthday is on 15th august so if it arrives on that day it'll be pretty cool, i'm getting mario sunshine for my birthday aswell and about £100 worth of CD's (i need the new fat joe).

i love my birthday!

i think the bigger the thing is the longer it takes, i mean a game fits through your letter box but downtown i had ago on a wavebird and there's no way it'll fit through the letter box.
