"Lower My Ping"

Ok so I want to know how this can be achieved. Is it easy?
I have a cable modem, Ntl one which is 512k/sec.

So anyone know what settings I should have etc that will lower my ping when I am playing games on-line.

Its only for playing SOFII and I use dedicated servers so the lag isn't that much.

Turbo I'm not sure what you meant by pinging that address (I don't know how) any chance you could give me a little more info on how it is done.

Your ping depends on the server, I get 20ms on dedicated UT and TO servers but when i play someone on Operation Flashpoint, not only is the game bigger so you expect slowing but they live out in America and theres usually about 10 people linked up to their modem..which they're playing off, so it gets a little slow.
512k Broadband is more than enough to get a great game with no lag, dedicated servers do help though.

Er, unlock it and get 14mb/s?

But on a more legal note, 512k/s is justfine for gaming. Ping vie.intritus.net and tell me what you get.

Hint: run "command" instead of "ping" in the Run box to get a window that doesn't close.
