The "Freeola Customer Forum" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
Anybody else come across this or have any ideas about what can be done?
Thanks
ps. Is there a way of searching past threads that I have submitted on the forum?

The Freeola 'hit counter' shows unique visitors to your site (I guess it's based on the same visitors IP address).
I see Mrs Digi's site is indexed by Google and also has a couple of in-coming links which will be generating traffic.
If you login to EDIT your Instant Site and use the Instant Site Statistics link you can see where your visitors are coming from! You can see the 'referrering' sites and search engine terms, etc.
Nice site by the way ;¬)

All looks ok on the Google front to me!
Google command site: shows all 5 of your pages indexed - also works with the 'pages from the UK' selected.
The Google cached pages show they have all been indexed in the last week so things are still very fresh. Results can sometimes be unstable for a while as new results are propagated to all of Google's data-centres. So pages will come and go when a site is newly indexed - don't worry you just have to wait for things to stabilise.
New sites often take a while to show up from searches when they are so fresh, as long as the 'site:' command shows they are in the index things normally sort themselves out.
NB. Possibly from when you stripped out your GA code you seem to have a script error on all the pages (a part from the contact page) line 116/117:
Search Freeola Chat My Freeola Instant Site
I'm pretty certain it won't be Google Analytics that have caused any problems - so I would put it back.
Without seeing your site it's hard to say what may be causing problems, there are lots of reasons - feel free to give us the address.
When you say it's no where to be seen - is this when you look for certain keywords? Does the Google command site:www.yoursite.com give you any results?
Google can rate new sites highly initially then they can go through the Google 'sandbox' before performing well again.
If your pages are still indexed (site: command) then it's just a matter of being patient.

Thanks for your response. I'm reassured that there does not appear to be any conflict between the Analytics coding and the Instant Site. I'll just wait a little longer and hope that the rankings recover and take things from there. I'll keep you posted!
You can search these forums using the search tool very kindly created by user Hmmm here. It will allow you to search anything on these forums that has been indexed by Google.
