I live in ireland ( North ) and the fighting that goes on up here is a disgrace, catholics dont like protestants and protestants dont like catholics, and the two football teams in this are Celtic and Rangers, Im a catholic and im not a bitter one at that, i dont hate protestants, but if a protestant makes a funny remark and starts an arguement thats a different story. Im not asking if you are the catholic or a protestant but what are your views on the story; in belfast over the 12th there was 12 police injured and a few bodys hurt, who do you think is the cause of these rows between the two sides?

1 Cathoilcs
2 Protestants
3 Police
And why???

Granted, if there was no religion, the would be a LOT less wars (nowadays and throughout history) but it's not the religion, it's the SAD people who use it as an excuse or mis-read it's values, and cause violence. The IRA, people in the middle east, they're just insane, or have been brainwashed by someone USING religion to get something THEY want. Suicide bombers? Product of brainwashing using religion. It's sad, very sad

I don't mean any disrespect to anyone who is religious. I respect your views and opinions. Some of my best friends are religious (muslims) and I don't have a problem with them, they get days of school for religious holidays little gits :) But I was just saying that in my opinion religion causes more harm than good. I hope no offence was taken. :)

Well said mate. In my humble opinion, religion isn't worth a cabbage, and isn't what it's cracked up to be. There are so many contradictions in the bible, and the way that people dictate life and the path they take just adds to that. If there really was a god, then why would so many bad things happen in our world? However, as it's the way I was brought up, we really have to learn to respect religion. I mean, I won't go around insulting someone who is a catholic or whatever, because what's the point? It's generally expected that you show a little etiquette in society, and don't insult people. It's like this: I'm an aethiest, and I expect people to respect me, regardless of my religion. I wouldn't go around and attack an Afghan (despite the bunch of crap on TV mocking them) because they are stereotyped to all be a bunch of terrorists who go around all day blowing up government buildings.

This world is such a senseless place, I just wish all the racists and ignorant sods of this world would shrivel up and die, then we would all live in a reasonable harmony.

LF.

Yeah, I agree with Kerrang too. I'm an atheist and I also don't see the point. Life is short.

So many wars are caused by religion. I don't belong to a religion, I don't feel the need to. I personally don't see the point in going to a church to worship some guy who I've never met and there is no proof in any Gods which people belive in. If someone could prove that Gods exist then my views would change. I personally think it is a waste of time in our sort lives, well thats what I think anyway.

I think it's pathetic...all this fighting over religion is contradicting the religions themselves!

Religion is to blame.

Just look at all the fighting going on in the Middle East, all because of Religious beliefs.
And the Orange walk is not needed at all, it just causes arguements and fights.
I am a prodestant and I dont agree with the Orange walk one little bit.
I apologise to anyone who I may have offended by saying that but its what I think.
