1 The X-box soon to go on line with the great graphics and designs it has also made a great amount of money,
2 Now the Ps2 is also soon to go on line and its long black box the first console to have a built in DVD player and the games with un-realistic graphics is the other console to be in the contest to be the best console on earth.
Which console would you recommend to your fellow mates and partners and the reason's needed, Cheers and lets see which is the popular console.

Open your eyes! Gamecube is selling more! Good God, why can't people do their homework before they argue. You're speaking rubbish.

Do your research please, 'cause you're very very wrong.

The Xbox is becoming more and more popular every day, in Japan the Xbox is selling more than the Gamecube now, for some strange reason the Japanese haven't taken to the GameCube as Nintendo expected!
For the last time! *SPLINTER CELL* at this current time is only scheduled for Xbox and PC!
I am not going to say that Sales do not matter because they do, take the Dreamcast for instance, a superb console with ground breaking games but it never took off, poor sales means = reduction in manufactoring = console failure, I know that may seem a brutal way to explain it and I know there is a lot more invloved but at the end of the day if a console doesn't sell then it will eventually be taken off the market. Having said that I think the point people are trying to get over is:
Poor sales does not mean poor games
I agree with this, look at some of the titles out on the Dreamcast:
Shenmue
Shenmue 2
Virtua Tennis
Virtua Tennis 2
Skies Of Arcadia
Sonic Adventure
Soul Calibur (only game I have seen score 10/10 on both IGN and GameSpot)
Ultimate Fighting Championship
Resident Evil 2 + 3 + Code Veronica
HeadHunter
Rez
Jet Grind Radio
Daytona USA 2001
Metropolitan Street Racer
Space Channel 5
Phantasy Star Online 1 + 2
House Of The Dead 2
You give me one other console that Sega didn't produce which *failed* (so to speak) and I will call you a LIAR (in a nice way)! This didn't stop Sega and other 3rd party developers producing some truly ground breaking titles for the system, poor sales have eventually stopped the console long before its life span of 6 years but take a look at some of the games available for it! Unlike most systems Sega develop most of the top titles for it and that is why it is sad to see such a dominent company stop making consoles!
I do admit sales are important but there can still be some great games released despite of any other road block which may get in the way. Don't you agree?

So when the going gets tough, the biased get going? If you can't handle a simple debate, then you shouldn't have posted in the first place. Admit it, you brought must of those 'insults' (I'd say constructive criticism or counter arguments) on yourself.

This has been said, but have you noticed there are four consoles on the market? You missed out the Gamecube and Dreamcast (which is still a worthwhile purchase considering it's lower price and quality games such as Shenmue).

Correction. It hasn't. It may have done well in the USA but the European and Japanese sales of the PS2 and Gamecube outweigh it by a very very long way.

Um.. hello? Have you seen screenshots for games like Metal Gear Solid 2, Splinter Cell, Gran Turismo 3.. need I go on? Do your research mate.

A tip, post this in a neutral forum. Personally, I would recommend Gamecube due to the power of the console itself, price and games.

And the fact that more people own a Gamecube than an X-Box means nothing in terms of popularity, does it?

So people go an spend their money on these expensive (well, with the exception of GameCube and Dreamcast) machines for fun do they? Sales reflect everything about a console, because people think before buying one and come to the best decision. Therefore, more sales = better console.

Come on people, do your homework and have a little common sense.
This is yet another pointless topic,
