Nintendo continue to bring out console after console after console. Take the GameBoy for example, simple, little hand-held console, amuses kids for hours on end. Parents spend about £69.99 on their kid's GameBoy. Later on, they bring out The GameBoy Colour, the kid wants this as well because Nintendo make great games for it and its got better graphics. So the parents spend another £80 or so on this. Then there's the games, the accessories and all that. Next Nintendo release the GameBoy advance, I'm not sure how much this costs, although my parents spent a lot of money on this for my brother. Then theres the games and accessories for that. My brother has had: Nintendo Console, Super Nintendo, PsOne, now he has a PS2, GameBoy, GameBoy Colour, GameBoy advance.

What I'm trying to say is that when a console has been out for a while, and sales start to go down, they just bring out a new one, and the kid wants that, then another, and the next. My parents have wasted loads of money on these games consoles, but most of them are sitting in our attic getting rusty.

So why dont kids want replacements for PCs, because PC games have been around for years? Parents spend loads of money on these games consoles and they just end up in attics and never get used again after the new one has been brought out.

Oh, and now of course, this has all turned into a topic pointing at people about 'sexism'.

But possibly, he didn't know you're a girl, and he's just arguing with you like people do on this forum. The whole place can't be with perfect posts, perfect replies and perfect people. There have to be arguments somewhere, and he was just stating what he thinks. I don't think it was anything against you neing a girl.

Yeah, and most of the replies, even by Microgarlicbread are helpful and constructive in a way. Maybe as you feel you are being sort of insulted in a way, you see this topic differently, but I see nothing wrong with all but a couple of the replies.

You should keep posting, and if someone is getting at you, just ignore their posts, and keep posting with xy2k about the topic that the 2 of you are having. There's no need to leave the forums and e-mail someone because someone is possibly trying to start an argument.

I just don't think he was actually trying to have a go at you or anything.

So now you want it to be a discussion about gender?? Please just grow up, I wish I never posted my question about nintendo

How sexist do you want to be? Women spend years fighting for equality and get it, but still its 'ladies first' and 'you cant hit girls (even if they hit you!)' and poor old you if I flamed you a bit. BIG DEAL I treat every single person in the same way, male or female. A lot of things i may be, but sexist isn't one of them, if you can't tell I'm actually pretty upset of being acused of it.

Microgarlicbread, you are the one being portrayed as a moron/idiot because you're the one using your "guy knowledge" to argue against a girl (me). Maybe you get kicks out of seeing girls lose arguments?

Like I said before, I started this thread because I was merely creating a discussion topic for people to answer my question, all I wanted was some HELPFUL and CONSTRUCTIVE replies, not a fool responding to my post in a most rude and unhelpful manner.

I propose you discontinue this discussion and continue it over email with Xy2k, because frankly I don't want to read your posts where you flame at other people, and especially girls.

No I dind't, I don't like final fantasy games much anyway. My point was many people have said they have (on these forums) and I was using it as an example to show that the way a game looks can add to its depth.

Well duh it's been out about three years longer.

It doesn't have any

Gamecube games are cheaper than X-box games, the console only costs £130, what more do you want? I guess your right about hyped games, i mean, who the hell had heard of that game...er...Metroid Prime, you know, the one that won the best of show award at E3. And of course, no one is excited about the likes of Rogue Leader, Smash Bros and Super Monkey Ball. And theres no hyping in the future, just unknowns such as Mario Sunshine, Starfox Adventures, Zelda, Eternal Darkness - and those are just the Nintendo games..(and not even all of them at that)

And those two games you mentioned for the X-box, well they are pretty much the only games worth mentioning, as for Final Fantasy, you obviously don't know much as the series is now coming to the GameCube as well.

That is the most idiotic statement I've heard in a long while, for a start sequels and continuing series is what makes gamers stick with the same console makers in the future, so they an continue to play fantastic Mario games for example. Secondly, there isn't a single game out on the Cube that is an 'enhanced' version of an old game. slices taken from old games? If you mean a Mario game still has Mario in then yes your right, but other wise your continuing you trend of talking rubbish.

Wow, thats funny, really funny. Your the one claiming ridiculous statements such as 'most of the Cube's current games are just enhanced repeats of previous games' what rubbish! There are some sequels, of much loved games I might add, Smash Bros was one of the best games on the N64, of course they're going to make a sequel for it. Besides, your precious Playstation's 'oh so wonderful' Final Fantasy series running on a bit now isn't it, but of course that doesn't count no does it.
And the fact that you consider a statement from someone else that soundly defeats all your arguments as 'unconstuctive woffle' just your a moron, I suggest you just leave this topic now and don't make a fool of yourself by trying to respond.

There may be far more different types of games on present day consoles than the past however, compared to OTHER FORMATS (the PS2 being a fine example as it can play both PSOne and 2 games), the Cube does fall behind in terms of variety and content. It doesn't have any massively-hyped games (Xbox's Halo + Project Gotham, PS2's Final Fantasy, Gameboy's Pokemon) to increase its sales, PLUS as I've said before, the games are expensive.

I think you totally misunderstood my point. You may be able to list the number of games for the Cube, but most of them are either enhanced repeats of previous games or slices taken out of them.

The more you unconstructively woffle, the more YOU look like an idiot. As a final note, I do not wish to start a flame war, especially not with you. But if you really insist, I'll give you my email.
