"PS2, Region X and RCE"

I know someone's asked this before, but I can't find the thread!

Does Region X on the PS2 play RCE discs?

I don't want 'possibly' or 'maybe' answers - I want to know 100% for sure. That is, I want to know from someone who has played an RCE disc on their PS2 with Region X.

Failing that, I'll mail the company tonight and ask them.

The reason? Resident Evil on R1 DVD for £13.99

P&P is free, so £13.99 is all you pay.

I've ordered a lot from CD-WOW in the past, and their service is excellent.

The items are despatched from Hong Kong, but delivery times are usually very quick - longest I've waited for an in-stock item is six days, but it's usually three or four. And only once has an item been damaged.

If you do have any damaged items, the return address is in the UK, and replacements are quickly despatched.

In short, they're one of the best internet companies I've ever dealt with, which - for the prices they charge - is amazing.

Yes it does. RCE works by testing the machine on a number of regions and if it doesn't throw up an error the disc refuses to play. RegionX restricts the PS2 to a single region so the RCE check will be successful.

However, Ortega said he was buying Resident Evil>Region 1 and said he would e-mail me the results of the RCE+Region X deal thingy...

So when he tells me I'll e-mail you the results if you leave your address here... (Your choice) Im gonna post it here in the Movies,TV,Music and Books forum when I get it anyway...
