Ok, I recieved an email today from "[email protected]" in Spanish.

It reads:
"una interesante tesis sobre este tema de conversasion que nunca pasa de moda"
And there's a "control panel extension" attachment, no virus.

Now I'm *not* downloading it, just wondered if you sent it to me, if so why and what is the attachment?
And if anyone can translate the mail for me, I'd appreciate it.

Nah, it's a Hotmail virus that sends out Spanish e-mails to your contacts, and to the contacts of your contacts.

Hello, I'm here. No, it wasn't me. Someone hacked into my account or something, and sent it out. It must have been someone from SR, as it was only sent out to SR people - half the users it was sent to, I don't even know their addys!

A firewall wont stop someone sending you a virus file attatchment...just attempts to prevent people from accessing your computer through open ports...but Nortons Anti-virus on the other hand should definately prevent damage to your system files...
