tony this is quite a serious one. Apparently there is a big Nigerian gang operating, they tell you they just need a few thousand pounds or a laptop or something and just keep trying to extort stuff out of people and will get millions of "legitimate" money in the end. They have had a few cases with the police in this country were after gullible people have replied and been dragged into it, they have been murdered or abducted. I don't know why people reply i suppose its based on greed. The metropolitan police's advice (for anyone else who receives one and is tempted to reply) is " don't reply to it under any circumstances, as it is clearly fraudulant" and can have very bad consequences.
