I think the Xbox is just a PC in disguise and therefore has all the problems associated with pc gaming. Has anyone noticed how the replays are very glitchy with bad frame rate. Then there's that stupid dashboard which keeps going wrong not to mention the way you have to reset the time and date when ever you turn the power off.

Also if the Xbox is so easy to program for why are'nt there loads of pc games out there for it or being developed. The fact of the matter is that the PS2 has more pc converstions in development than the Xbox, you also have to consider that many console game developers, have not designed for pc's anyway.

as for the original comment. Yes the xbox is mainly just pc parts thrown together. The PS2 and GC are traditional machines with lots of custom tech to boost performance, not just use the main CPU for everything. But i think in time, most consoles will follow a similar route to xbox in using as many standard parts as possible. It should be cheaper for a start, and less R&D costs.

Don't know.
Don't care.
All I know is I've playing SEGA's Jet Set Radio Future for most of the day and it's a ruddy good game.

Well see that's part of the problem for xbox. So it's go HALO, Reckless. But what else really is there. It's got a bit more power, but port games (which there are many) don't show the improvement. Custom USB, Broadband (if you can get the signal), HDTV support if you wan't it, a hard disc drive. See what i mean, this is all well and good, but image plays a very big part. If people in the main don't look beyond the wrapping, they won't find anything they wan't on X-Box. You could apply this to any new technology as well. It needs a WOW factor!
