...::Grand Theft Auto::...
First of all, I have an opinion... The whole of the UK is sick! That's the only reason GTA3 could sell so well in my view!
Ok, the first thing you do in this game is jump into a stolen car. This in turn leads to many innocent people being run over leaving their blood on the tires. This can be great fun if you turn the volume up as you can hear the bodies crash off of the bonnet and roll over your roof. On the odd chance that they roll under the car, you can hear the awesome 'squishy' noise of their insides being flattened.
One of the best vehicle to use for this is the Ambulence. When somone smacks off of the bonnet, they fly into the air and land in a crippled pile. TYhe second best thing about the Ambulence is the 'Paramedic missions'. It is your job to save people from death by bringing them to hospital. There are a certain number of things you can do here, here is a small list:-
1)This option is great as you can pull up beside them and just as they begin to move, pull out an Uzi pistol and send ten bullets through their head and torso.
2)Another fun trick is to pull up beside them, and just before they get in, drive a little and they have to run after you. This can be very boring unless you are VERY skilled at the whole 'Drive-By' thing. Here's what to do... (i)as you reach a junction, look for a vehicle that is approaching(preferably a taxi or Mafia Sentinel) and shoot a bullet or two at it. If you hit it on time, it will hopefully make them speed up and run over the innocent casualty behind you.
Back to general violence in GTA3. When using the rifle which you have to aim with (i think it's an M16), shoot someone and watch them hold that place while the blood poures from the wound. When they are laying a a pool of their own blood, continuesly pump lead through the corpse and watch the blood fly.
And the last great thing about GTA3 is the 'Gore Mode' cheat. When this is acyivated, peoples arms, legs and heads can be shot off with the M16 or Sniper rifle. An even better option is to use the grenades or rocket launcher as all their body parts scatter, BLOODY BRILLIANT.
...::Die Hard: Trilogy::...
One of the most under-rated games on the PS1 in my view. This game had three in one value. The first game was great as it was in 3rd person perspective and you could use a large variety of weopons to slaughter your enemies with. With cheats activated, you could get more blood which just made it better.
I will skip the second game as it was just a normal Gun Game.
The third game though, the driving one, was great for one thing... running over people. If you selected the camera view which was inside the car, you could see all the blood splatter and spread over the windscreen before the wipers cleared the mess off. GENIUS.
...::Max Payne::...
Oh, what a great game. Awesome atmosphere, great dialogue, great gameplay. But the thing that stands out the most is the violence. As Max is now a broken man, he is bent on getting revenge for his family, and kills anyone who gets in his way. The inclusion of 'Bullet Time' just made it incredible. When in bullet time you could use the Ingrams to drill your enemies and splatter their blood over the wall. And because it was all in slow motion and the facial expressions were great, this was incredible.
A few great additions to this game were the baseball bat and crow-bar. You could use these to batter the victims brains to pulp and watch the blood flow.
...::Silent Hill::...
This covers both Silent Hill 1 and Silent Hill 2.
Well, in my view, and many others, this game is the daddy of all horror games. Terrifying creatures, eerie suspense anda chainsaw!
When you start of in both of these games, you have a lot of running about to do, finding objects and a few weopons. But after you pass the first couple of obstacle, your in for the greatest hooror and blood fest of your life! In your first time through, you get handguns and pipes as standard and pick up shotguns, sledge-hammers and various other explosive weopons. You can rip your enemy to ribbons and blow blood over every surface in the game and have a great time. But the most fun comes when you finish the games once. Yes, it is very difficult, almost impossible in places, but the reward is worth it.
Put aside all the numerus endings and special items you find, the best of these is the CHAINSAW. When you take this baby to any creature in the game, prepare to be swimming in the red goo we call blood. The blood flows like a river when you hack someone to bits... AWESOME.
